Depression On-Demand

Event Details

The Depression in Primary Care on-demand sessions are available for £30 each for Primary Care, PCN, ICB and GP Practice Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Trainees. 

These sessions were recorded on the 27th June 2023 & 26th September 2023  ,respectively, and cover the following topics:

Part 1:

• Diagnosis criteria and expectations of antidepressants
• NICE guidelines anxiety and depression – expectations for primary care
• Completing a 6 week Review
• Introduction to side effects of antidepressants and how to deal with them
• Introduction to primary care validated tools to monitor efficacy

Part 2: 

• Practice implementation on how
  to withdraw antidepressants
• Practice implementation on how
  to switch between
  antidepressants
• Case studies and panel discussion
  to share best practice and
  barriers/enablers

Both sessions last approximately 2.5 hours and do go hand-in-hand as a pair of educational sessions.
