The Diabetes, CKD & Obesity in Primary Care study day is FREE to access, FREE from influence and FREE to attend for all registered HCPs.
This study day will start at 9:00am with the Welcome and Introductions. The first talk of the study day will begin shortly after. Our expert speakers will be discussing the following topics:
- Managing SGLT2 and GLP1s in Primary Care
- Insulin Initiation in Primary Care
- CKD – What do I need to know in primary care and how do we manage patients
- Managing patients with obesity – patient factors and pharmacotherapy
This course will discuss the epidemiology and science behind the rising rates of obesity and overweight, including the role of genetics and the metabolic set point theory. It will also cover practical aspects of the management of obesity and overweight, including how to have an effective consultation and which therapies are available both on the NHS and privately. In usual conversation the word ‘overweight’ is used as an adjective, however those who work in the field use it as a noun i.e. to describe the disease of overweight. This course will do the same.
