MORPh Associate Blog – David Birch
David is currently working as a Locum Pharmacist and has undertaken sessional GP Practice work since 2003. He also acted as a Pharmacist Prescriber for a group of GP practices that have vertically integrated with the local hospital trust specialising in long term conditions management. Prior to this he worked as a senior pharmacist providing prescribing advice in commissioning organisations for over 20 years and before that worked in management and Superintendent Pharmacist roles in community pharmacy including LPC membership.
In addition, he is currently a pharmacist prescriber member of the Midlands Therapeutic Review and Advisory Committee (MTRAC) and a committee member of the Midlands Practice Pharmacy Network.
David has a keen interest in cardiovascular disease, particularly hypertension, CKD and diabetes. He holds a strong belief in personal development through access to training delivered by expert speakers. He thoroughly enjoys multidisciplinary working. David brings an array of experience and knowledge to MORPh Training as one of our Associates.
