The Accelerated Diabetes Academy Module 2 webinar is prioritised, and FREE, for Primary Care, PCN, ICB and GP Practice Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Trainees. 

This study day will start at 18:30 with the Welcome and Introductions. The webinar will begin shortly after. Our expert speakers will be discussing the following topics:

• Cardiovascular Outcome Trials
• Review of Current Guidelines (NICE and EASD/ADA)

Learning Outcomes

• Understand the link between cardiovascular risk management and diabetes management.
• Describe the mode of action of the various hypoglycemic agents.
• Apply EASD – ADA guidance to patient cases scenarios.
• Use a patient focused approach to choose an appropriate first line agent within the context of co morbidities (renal impairment cardiovascular risk) and patient acceptability.
• Apply best practice for treatment and management intensification to avoid long term complications.
• Holistic person-centered approach to T2D management and cardiorenal protection
