The Accelerated Diabetes Academy Module 6 webinar is prioritised, and FREE, for Primary Care, PCN, ICB and GP Practice Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Trainees.Â
This study day will start at 18:30 with the Welcome and Introductions. The webinar will begin shortly after. Our expert speakers will be discussing the following topics:
Diabetes & Cardiovascular disease:
- Risk assessment and guidelines
- Glycaemic control and CV disease
- Hypertension management in diabetes
- Dyslipidaemia in diabetes
- DKD -Diabetic Kidney Disease
Learning Outcomes
- Understand the link between cardiovascular risk management and diabetes management
- Describe the targets and algorithms of drug choice for managing hypertension in diabetic patients
- Interpret the key cardiovascular outcome trials for diabetic patients
- Effectively use aspirin and lipid lowering agents to support reducing cardiovascular risk within diabetes.
- Prevention and treatment of diabetic kidney disease
