MORPh Associate Blog – Helen Liddell

I’m Helen an Associate for MORPh Training and some of you will have met me at the study days in the North of England – mainly Leeds and Newcastle but possibly other locations too.  I’m going to start writing in this blog about a few things I think Pharmacists in Primary Care might be interested in.

Lets kick off with my role as HEE Ambassador for Pharmacist in General Practice. Along with other colleagues I am covering this role on a one day per week basis across HEE North of England region to support the development of GP pharmacists working in primary care. Particularly, the new PCN pharmacists, but anyone who is employed directly through practices and might benefit from training or networking support.

In Yorkshire and Humber we are developing virtual communities of GP Pharmacists using Facebook (see page for Yorkshire and Humber Primary Care/GP Pharmacists) and local area WhatsApp/Telegram groups for individuals to develop peer support on an on-going basis. Also, I am contacting those I have e-mails for to let them know about any HEE funding/training available and to share HEE School for Medicines Optimisation North newsletters.

If you would like to be involved in any of this, the easiest thing to do is to send a message via the FB page and we will be in touch. Of course the MORPh training sessions can form a useful support network and we hope that some F2F contact can be achieved through these meetings too.
