MORPh Associate Blog – Tanvi Kothari
We love sharing our MORPh Associate stories! Tanvi Kothari, MORPh Associate is an Independent Prescriber Pharmacist. She moderates the MORPh Training events chairing GP Practice Pharmacist training in all areas of chronic disease.
Tanvi has a Masters in Pharmacy degree from the University of London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Community Pharmacy. With an Independent Prescribing Certificate obtained from Keele University. Her experience consists of working as a Trainee Pharmacist at the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust where she carried out clinical pharmacy activities such as taking drug histories on wards including the adult and neonatal total parenteral nutrition, care of the elderly, acute pain and medicines advice. Soon after she became a Locum Pharmacist at Boots covering areas such as Middlesex, Hertfordshire and Central London. Her passion then continued at Walgreens Boots Alliance as a Pharmacist Advanced Practitioner in Middlesex. Here she was involved in shaping the future of pharmacy within Boots, voicing her views and delivering regular presentations at conferences with a view to making things better.
Most recently she is a GP Practice Clinical Pharmacist for NHS England. Tanvi is enthusiastic, passionate and has real drive for the pharmacy world.
